InterContinental Osaka is taking environmentally friendly initiatives such as reducing energy efficiency and CO2 emissions.
In 2021, we achieved a reduction of 3.8% in electricity, 17.5% in gas, 19.2% in water, and 9.9% in CO2, and from 2019, we actively introduced software that enables digitization, refraining from printing paper and reduced paper costs.
We are also working to reduce waste, and by thoroughly severing, the amount of garbage disposed of has been greatly reduced.
We will continue to aim to be a hotel loved by our customers in order to realize a sustainable society that is environmentally friendly.

■ Public spaces and room lighting are mostly LED installed.
■ Since 2019, we have been managing boiler and chiller settings every day and changing them from automatic to manual.
■ We take and check energy usage data every day, and if there is an unusual cause of energy consumption, we check and resolve the problem.
■ Depending on the season, the set temperature in the hotel is constantly changing.
■ The brightness of the lobby is controlled according to the time of day, and the air conditioning of the banquet hall is put in only when there is a banquet.
