Please be advised that all Express Mail Service (EMS) shipments to the United States are currently suspended.
This follows the termination of the de minimis tax exemption by the United States government, resulting in customs duties being applied to all postal items from 29 August 2025. In response, Japan Post has temporarily suspended EMS shipments to the United States, and InterContinental Osaka will be aligning with this suspension.
For shipments to the United States, Japan Post will continue to handle items meeting the following criteria; however, please be aware that delivery is not guaranteed and shipments may be returned:
- Personal gifts valued at USD 100 or less.
